No Exception of Privacy over Facebook Page
2012年5月 8日 12:58
People expect that their non-public social networking sites can be kept private. But, U.S. courts have held that if the material posted on non-public social networking sites of a party, such as on facebook, contain information relevant to the subject matter of the lawsuit, such party must produce his/her account information so the other party(s) to the lawsuit can access the material. These courts ruled that a person does not have an expectation of privacy over the material that the person posts on his/her social networking sites even if the person limits access to friends. Courts have specifically stated that even with such a setting facebook and other similar sites warn users that their information could become public.
